Fishtrack design, build and install remote monitoring systems for tracking animals and fish in both the terrestrial and aquatic environments. Our design team are experienced in dealing with the rigours of field monitoring and exploiting the limitations of remote power systems to achieve amazing results. We use latest technology along with tried and trusted industry standards to achieve powering of monitoring equipment and collection and collation of valuable data. Our team build systems ranging from fully integrated systems employing dual power technologies which are self contained and self powering for between 2 months and 4 years that float and are remotely setup in larger lakes, transmitting ecological and environmental data to dedicated web servers (WebLink) through to simple, rapidly set up, single solar panel controlled data logging equipment.
We are experienced working with Radio frequency identification (RFID) technology, multi and split beam sonar, hydroacoustic technology and various logging equipment used for monitoring environmental parameters such as temperature, relative light levels, turbidity, salinity, dissolved oxygen, pH etc. In the case of ecological monitoring, we use the technology to identify individual fish or other animals we might track, in order to better understand and interpret their movements and so help unravel the population dynamics of a particular group of fishes or animals within a particular environment.
We provide a scale of service ranging from full design, build and setup including data aquisition and management, interpretation and final report to smaller scale projects involving supply and install to supply only. Our full service can also include an element of emergency call out and repair service where equipment has been damaged in extreme weather situations. Even blizzards seldom prevent us from down time events (left)!
Our solar build Integrated Remote Systems are extremely robust and reliable. We have achieved long run times from various monitoring projects. Some have been known to run for >6 years continuously in the field, collecting and transmitting data via WebLink to our servers. We integrate complimentary technologies into our systems and employ latest technology such as fuel cells to this end.
