Solar power is a clean, quiet, sustainable, efficient and reliable power source and so is ideal for application in remote powered technology, especially at locations where running power is not practicable or downright impossible!
We design, build and supply alternative power modules for all types of monitoring or for powering other monitoring devices. Solar and methanol powered devices can be configured and built to your specification or we can design for you. We supply solar module arrays from small scale 90w systems for low drain application to the high powered demands of large monitoring and telemetric systems transmitting high data volumes, 3-4KW, complete with cabling, framing, fixings, controllers etc. We also produce hybrid systems. Full installation service is available on all of these systems. Our system mounts can be configured for ground mounting or via concrete fixings to solid infrastructure. Most of our field version frames can be adjusted via key clamps to provide optimum presentation of solar panel arrays to the sunlight, enabling alteration between summer and winter for greater efficiency.
Charge controllers are the essential link between the solar charge generated from the solar panels and the batteries receiving the charge. The regulation of voltage and current is critical for the wellbeing of the whole system. Mismatch of controllers or incorrect configuration can ruin storage mediums and cause electrical damage to other componentry in the system. We only supply tried-and-trusted charge controllers and components that we, or our associates, have first hand experience of. Our solar panel arrays are sourced from top European manufacturers and provide years of reliable service. Matched to our battery banks, for remote storage and use of electricity during off grid application, we are able to supply telemetry setups almost anywhere. recent development has seen us design and deploy floating solar monitoring devices for use in large lake monitoring.
We supply various sizes and specifications of charge controllers, necessary for correct battery charge and float conditions for maintaining optimum battery storage and longevity. Charge controllers can be built in weather proof enclosures, with weather proof fixtures and fittings for operation throughout all weather conditions. We have reliably run such systems for >6 years continuously in field conditions without need of any intervention. During this time, the system continuously transmitted telemetric data via our WebLink system to our dedicated WebLink web pages for real-time desk based monitoring!
